I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. I have a speciality in treating Complex PTSD and Dissociation.
I believe in the counselling process wholeheartedly. I have seen personally and professionally that when we do not repair what is problematic in our lives, we often repeat it. Through the counselling experience it is possible to change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours, and to regulate emotions. I am truly passionate about the work I do and feel privileged to be afforded the opportunity to assist clients in their healing journey. I am committed to the process of ongoing learning and supervision to uphold the high standards of service every client of therapy deserves.
The British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors certifies members with the designation of Registered Clinical Counsellor. When you see the RCC designation, you will know that the counsellor:
- holds a minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent education.
- is accountable for ethical practices under our standards of practice and Code of Ethics.
- has satisfied the clinical experience and supervision requirements that are part of our criteria for membership.
- has submitted a clear criminal record check.
